Revised STR regulations announced.
Plusses and minuses on the new draft STR ordinances.

On the plus side, there is a provision for restrictions during a “declared emergency”.
On the minus side are the incorporation of language that does away with the requirement for signs, prohibits unannounced inspections even in life threatening situations, requires fewer parking spaces and puts absolutely no limit on the number of STR permits that can be issued in our residential neighborhoods.
In the mixed bag category, is the new provision for determining occupancy limits. Instead of limiting occupancy according to the number of bedrooms, the new limit is based on “habitable space” (doesn’t include kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, etc.). Depending on the layout, some homes will have a higher limit while others may have a decreased limit.
